By now, you’ve all seen the message on Peoria Pundit about my account being suspended.
I want to assure all my readers: This has nothing to do with an unpaid bill. My account was suspended for “SQL Database Abuse,” which I assume has something to do with a virus or something that has affected my site. I say “assume” because it took four hours to get even this limited amount of information from my host, Surpass Hosting. All I know is that my trouble ticket has been forwarded to the “suspended accounts department.” I hve no idea what they intende to do about it, if anything, or if they will even let me have access to my files again.
It’s infuriated in the extreme. And a quick trip through the company’s forum, I’m not the onkly one having this issue and I’m not the only one being trreated like dirt by this company.
Needless to say, I’m going to do what I’ve been threatening to do and move my site over to a new company ASAP.
What really pisses me off is that the Chicago Tribune is doing an article on bloggers and I was interviewed. I don’t know when it’s going to run, and I want the site back up by that time, but I don’t think it’s goign to happen. Like I said: Infuriating.
