Fighting spam
Akismet: If you activate the Akismet plugin to control spam, you MUST manually enter this site’s WordPress.com API Key. You will find it in your “Welcome to Blog Peoria” email. If you’ve lost it, let me know and I will add it for you.
Simply click on “Akismet Configuration” on the “Plugins” page, then save your settings. You should check your Akismet Spam page every once in a while, since some legitimate comments are routed there accidentally. Simply check the “Not spam” box and tell the page to rescue the comments. If you are moderating some comments, check your moderation queue every day or two, also. You might be surprised who gets caught.

I don’t operate any, but there are a TON of them at WordPress.tv. Be warned, most of them provide instruction for WordPress 2.7. This site isn’t yet operating on the SWPMu version of 2.7. But it will soon.
